The ultimate adventure… streaming

So today we filmed our second twitch stream. We made a lot of favorites. Matt’s favorite: the frog,

a fan favorite: the unicorn,

most requested dinosaur: T-Rex,

most popular balloons in general: sword and wand.

And our one viewer requested a panda, so we made one of those too.

We’re streaming mainly to have fun. Not for views or follows. And we’ve had interesting and fun conversations both times that we have streamed. We really look forward to doing more of it. I have fun narrating what’s going on and generally just talking about nonsense (because a teacher can never stop talking, apparently), and Matt gets to blow off steam by twisting.

For Matt, balloon twisting is how he centers himself. It helps him relax and reminds him to just be in the moment like few other things do. I love watching him work. He really is an artist. To see this straight balloon go on to become things like what are pictured above is crazy to me. And he makes it seem so easy. Effortless.

I have to remind myself that he has 11+ years of experience. He has been in the clowning and twisting community for a very long time and this means he has been able to glean a lot of things from a lot of people and put his own spin on it. Now whatever someone throws at him he can just make. Or can look at a picture and figure out how to make it easily. It takes a lot of talent, but also a lot of hard work.

Streaming puts on display his hard work and experience and talent, so I love it. And I hope we continue to do it, because I want more people to see how good he is at making balloons.

If you’re ever curious you can check out the linked twitch page. Though some times it will be me playing video games, there will probably always be videos of live streams of Matt twisting to check out. Enjoy!
